The Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) was founded in 1969 to provide high quality education and training in wines and spirits. Since then, WSET has grown into the foremost international body in the field of wines and spirits education, with a suite of sought-after qualifications. Qualifications are offered in Levels (1-4), Level 4 (Diploma) is the pre-requisite for the Institute of Masters of Wine degree; a highly sought after certification that only a few hundred individuals in the world hold.
The Wine Education Institute is a proud approved program provider (APP) for the WSET, which is based out of London. Currently we offer Levels 1 and 2 in classroom, corporate training, and online (Level 2 only) environments. All scheduled classes are hosted at 240 Saint Paul Street, Denver unless otherwise posted.

1 day wine course provides basic wine knowledge as well looking at how to match food with wine. A great start for new industry members and consumers seeking to learn more. Also available as private event and corporate training.
This course covers the major grape varieties and where they are grown around the world. Students are taught how to taste wine professionally using the WSET Systematic Approach to Tasting. This course is the basis for the more advanced levels of WSET programming. It is a highly suggested starting point for trade members. This program is also ideal for consumers that want a full, encompassing understanding of the wine industry. Available both in class, online, and for corporate training.
This qualification is open to students who hold the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines & Spirits or can demonstrate the equivalent level of knowledge. It is recommended that students complete the Level 2 Award in Wines & Spirits before progressing to the Level 3 Award.
It is a prerequisite for candidates planning to study for the WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines and Spirits qualification. The aim of this course is to provide detailed analysis of the principal wines and spirits of the world. Students will also benefit from in-depth tastings where they will learn to identify product style and quality.
